my birfday, in a nutshell

i did, for a change, actually do something fun for my birthday. it was supposed to be a surprise, but i knew what we were doing anyway. but just to be mean, my friends made me walk around santa barbara without my glasses on. They took me for sushi and then to see Duran Duran at the SB County Bowl. And they all sat way back and i sat up in the fourth row with two other of our friends local to sb. it was some seriously good times. i danced like a nut. D.D. kicked some serious ass too. It's so neat to see the original lineup...since i was like six or seven when they split up. i almost died walking all the way from our car to the venue uphill, and in the venue uphill. but at least it was a workout. on our way back home, we saw bioluminescents in the ocean. Which i'd never seen before. If you don't know what they are, it's kinda hard to explain. They're like these plankton that light up when they get in touch with the air, and there are just billions of them, so when a wave crests, all the white parts light up the color of an indiglo watch. its the most amazing phenomenon. we stopped off the side of the road to stare at the ocean for a while. now i'm soooo tired, and soooo achey. but it was so worth it.

more about the show later, perhaps. now i must pass out.

Aw, you got to see Duran Duran! But I can't believe you're saying you feel old and you were 7 when they broke up?! I was about 16! GAH....

Duran Duran didn't deem Colorado good enough to come to so I hope you did end up writing a concert review here and I can live through you again.

nope. i don't think i did. my bad. i so suck at reviewing things after the fact..i always promise and never perform.
