all the words i could not say

i put my hair in a bun some time yesterday afternoon. before my nap even, i think. and since i have very little hair these days (it's long as ever, but thin thin thin, if you grasped it all for like a ponytail the lot of it at the thickest part wouldn't be the diameter of a quarter), i can sleep with it that way, if the bun is low enough. so it was like that all afternoon, and all night. i finally took it down this morning. so i have this half hairdo thing going on, frazzled straight blah down to like the bottom of my ears and these amazing bouncy sparkly shampoo commercial (if you don't look too close) curls from there down. af course my hair stops only a couple inches past my shoulders when its like this, instead of at about my waist, but its still pretty, for a little while. it will fall before long (or when i brush it or whenever i manage to haul myself into the shower), and its just for me anyway, since the top is all frazzle sleep head. but it would be nice to have these sort of curls for real. cant figure out how to get them to the top of my head. and traditional sort of curlers don't work, because the curls have to be too small to get them to the top of my head and they fall flat before i can get hairspray in them, and hairspray negates the whole pretty and soft factor.

so ya'll. any of you you have curly hair and hate it or thick hair and think it's a bother. shut it. people are jealous of you.
