Um. I'm not big on tags. I never liked them. Eyed them suspiciously for like the first few years they were around. But I've given in and seen why they might be useful and or interesting. I've been using a few sporadically now and again. But now I've gone through and tagged posts back to the beginning of the year (and man can i rabbit on about crap!). Not every post. If they're really random or about lots of things, sometimes i didn't bother. And you'll see that I've also added tags (and a quote) to my lj layout, if you care to look. I dunno why. A bit of spring cleaning, I guess. And new peeps can search through the memes or whatever. I probably still won't be a big tagger, but i'll try to do it more often, for organization's sake.

Here's a question. And I'm too lazy to make a poll, but how do you pronounce the word, meme?

I've heard it three different ways:

1. 'meem'
2. 'mem'
3. 'meemee'

I go for option #1. What about y'all?

It's a word of French origin and, according to my friends who can actually pronounce the majority of French words (which I cannot), that's how it's said.

It's 1. I was introduced to it by my ex, before I even went on LJ. He was all interested in the concept of an idea that can replicate, just like a gene. He was such a geek... :P

Yeah I always assumed 1, and I'd read the whole 'gene' thing before. I have heard the other pronunciations, and sometimes you just have to go, "Wait, am I crazy?"
