so aol's been down all day. and thus my dsl is out. it really blows. i've reverted to my dialup thru csun, my school. the connection i've used now for almost 7 years...and it was always good enough till i got my highspeed....blah.

you know...i was watching the last few minutes of back to the future today...and Doc says that he's going 30 years into the future. i thought about back to the future II and the future they represent there...2015...it's only 12 years away now. isn't that weird? does it seem to everyone else that technology was getting moving scary fast into the future and then it just kinda stagnated? i mean really...is now all that much different than say....1999? computers are a little bit faster...and digital cameras are a little bit better. do we drive flying cars? when the heck is that gonna happen anyway? c'mon, when you were little, how futuristicly glamorous did twenty O three sound? my parents got an Acura Legend in 1987. that car was like THE shit. The first japanese luxury car...the best thing that wasn't a mercedez. yet in a few years it was a hasbeen. it was boxy, unstreamlined. it looked OLD. i didn't think i'd want to drive it when I turned 16. little did i know that any ole car would do then, and i'd be sharing the thing with my mom till i was 19. but anyway...point is, things changed so fast then, that the car got old fast. EVERYTHING got old fast. compare a movie made in 1982 with a movie made in 1985, and see how crazy different everything is. now the only thing to date a movie in the past 7 or 8 years is the size of the cellphones....

i dunno. i guess i'm still looking for that brushed chrome fully automated world that was promised us. cuz the future is cool. but now just isn't it, i guess.

and i really want a flying car.
