karenori figured it out! i now have dsl. wee!
know what the problem was? aol, of course. i had to sign on with my location as "home network" or else i didn't so much like the router. i was getting so pissed off. i tried connecting directly to the dsl and that worked fine, (tho it would cut off the other users). and finally, as a last ditch effort, preparing to give up, i tried this one last thing. i'd tried several different "locations" but hadn't got to this one yet. anyway, i'm sure that means little to everyone. but point it. it seems to be working now.
