Blackpool icons...

I was lamenting the fact that I have no Peter Carlisle icons. 115 icons in my currently in use collection, 33 (or thereabouts) including images of David Tennant. And none from Blackpool. That's a travesty, it is. So I made these.

I think the first is my favorite. I went all crazy and softened the background while keeping him all sharp. They all have a LOT of color play. Not that you can tell... Sigh. I work too hard on icons that don't show it.

I only have one open icon slot.

Of these three, I'd take the last one as-is. The first one's good, but the top right edge of his face is so blown out that it disappears a little. :)

I see what you're saying. It's pretty impossible to work around, it's like that in the original image. Messing with contrast or curves or colors doesn't seem to help. I tried darkening the background a bit...

Perhaps try making it black and white and playing with the channels there?

well now i've given it a kinda noir feel... added some gradients and a very slight teal coloring (which just makes it more of blueish b/w instead of a brownish one)

i picked that one out of that scene because he's actually looking at the camera... he's got so many good expressions...

i've actually cleared out a couple userpics (god it's like picking your favorite children!) so i can use more than one of them.
