ebay is funny to me.

A couple of funny things whilst searching for Doctor Who stuff on eBay.
1. "FUNNY! Doctor Who - Ladies Tee T-Shirt"
Black with the text "I'd rather be watching Dirty Jobs" Why is this listed as a Doctor Who shirt, I can't tell. Unless geeky fanboys would give it to their girlfriends who humor them?
2. An "official" poster of Lisa, the Cyberwoman. The description says: Did You Know?
The Cybermen are a fictional race of cyborgs who are amongst the most persistent enemies of the Doctor in the British science fiction television series, Doctor Who. This Cyberwoman appeared in the Dr Who spin off series Torchwood.
Really? "Fictional" cyborgs? Oooh, does that mean there are real cyborgs around? I wanna meet them!
3. A really long scarf that's supposed to look like 4's, but doesn't and is somehow up to 90 dollars in bidding.
4. Dapol Millenium Dalek Set. Removeable cover for display or play. These have NOT been removed or played with. Apparently this was only available by collecting other widgets from Dapol toys and this lovely set was a mail-in premium. (At least that what I read in someone else's description...)
Yay for honesty!

Date: 2007-10-10 05:24 am (UTC)It could be argued that anyone with a prosthesis is a cyborg. Or an artificial body part. Which would then put my husband in that category. ::grin::
