I continue to recommend The Time Traveler's Wife for everyone doing this meme who hasn't already read it. Such a marvelous, gorgeous, heartbreaking, loving book.

Also -- I have read all the Avalon books too. In theory -- the storyline starts with her Atlantis books, but oi, trying to figure out who's reincarnated as whom across all the series makes my head ache.

I haven't read any of the Atlantis books either. Or any other MZB for that matter. Well, the last one that came out (i think), Ancestors of Avalon, I think pretty much covers the who's reincarnated as whom, doesn't it?

I started reading The Mists of Avalon in September '01. I had to put it aside for a while. After a bit I came back to it, and finished it. And loved it. A lot. I was so excited for the film. Which is a reasonable adaptation, even if they change and leave out a lot. I've enjoyed most of the sequels a lot, as well. I think The Forest House is my favorite.

TMoA is actually the only one of them I don't own. I had borrowed it from a roommate of mine, at the time. And every once in a while I pass it in a bookstore, and think I should really buy it. But I'm poor, and I think when will I ever have the time. So I don't.

I'm thinking of trying to make it to Glastonbury next time I'm in England, if there's time. Bit of a pilgrimage, you know.

Ancestors of Avalon, yeah, it was obvious. The Atlantis stuff is more obscure. It's good, but sometimes it makes my head swim a little.

Much to my surprise, given all the accolades, I really did not like The Time Traveler's Wife. It was just...kind of cold. I didn't like that Claire had to spend half her life waiting for Henry. Nor that she met him for the first time when she was so very young.
