i hate technology

so i was catching up on loading my mp3 player. i'd been behind. so i did this mass upload, and no problems except that i finally ran out of space. i think i have 20gb? i don't remember

so i was going through it deleting stuff, and it froze on a song, so i hit the reset thingy with a paperclip, which always just fixes whatever its frozen on. and then i turn it back on and...nothing. nary a song to be found. thing is totally wiped. empty.

i just tried resetting it again. and nope still empty.

well, i've been looking for an excuse to get a new one. not that i can afford it now. i guess i'll try reloading it and seeing what happens.

i'm just sad. i've had NO problems with this player whatsoever. never. except sometimes it freezes after loading songs onto it. but little reset button and its all good again. dammit.

ETA: updating the firmware saved it! all my stuff is back on. yay! *sighs with relief*

Can I ask what kind of player you have? I've been thinking about buying one sometime soon (yes, I am an ancient person who has yet to own an mp3 player).

mine is a Creative Zen Sleek. And i've been VERY pleased with it. Even when i bought it, the lady at Best Buy said they were soooo much better than ipods and she never got returns on them. I've had it like...2 years or so. A little less. And no major problems. Till last night, but that resolved itself really quickly. I'm thinking of trading up. And I'll buy a Creative again. just one with a larger capacity. apparently 20 gb isn't enough for me. :)
