karenornot really waking up this morning. which is bad since i've been up for 3 hours.
still got so much crap to do and i'm fighting it hard. i just want it to be friday so i can drive away. but i've got this job i'm not calling about hanging over my head. i can't relax till i get that settled. but its a bad time for me. tomorrow i gotta deal with my pre road trip stuff and write a poem and go to school, friday and saturday i'm pretty much outta town...so even if i contact the dude today i won't be able to do anything till sunday, so what's the point. he has my info and hasn't called me or emailed even tho i emailed him on thursday. he isn't like a boss-boss that i have to follow employee/employer protocol with, cuz he's just my brother's friend...and he's only like 30. maybe younger. yet cuz i have this phone disability i can't call him. and emailing again seems lame. blah
when i stumbled into the kitchen this morning to have leftover birthday cake for breakfast my dad told me that i missed all the excitement. the whole taking down the statue thing in that square in baghdad. they showed it over and over anyway. i liked when the iraquis were pulling the statues head and sitting on it. hee. also the iraquis driving around town flying american flags was a sight to see to.
my dad is obsessed with the whole thing. he's kind of in between jobs right now. his job is to find a new job, so he's not home ALL the time. but when he is, he's watching the news. he gets angry if we try to watch anything else. to anyone who'll listen he says how commendable (sp?) bush is for getting some balls (it sounds much more emphatic in hebrew) and he's finally proud to be American.
point is, it's gonna be damn hard to get him to stay away from the two tvs i need to be recording roswell and angel on!
was that my point? ;) no not really. point was about my dad.
anyhoo, time to shower and get on with outdoor activities...
