eeek! i am being driven insane. i'm being punished for being a dirty downloader.

first this gilmore girls torrent is super ridculously i want to die SLOW....which makes me NOT happy.

second, i'm watching Almost Famous, one of those movies that every one and their mom has seen six gazillion times and i've NEVER seen it. so i downloaded it a while back. and trying to watch it is freakin impossible because i can't hear the dialog unless it is absolutely quiet otherwise in the film. if there is any music whatsoever, the dialog becomes completely unhearable. no matter how loud i turn up the volume on my headphones. it makes NO sense, the song will be coming in perfectly and the dialog is almost not there. how can that be? how can either the viewing program, my soundcard, or my speakers make that kind of distinction. WTF! i had a similar problem watching Phantom of the Opera (i couldn't hear the singing if the the music was even a little loud), but i figured it was just that, cuz i had no problems with any of the other films or tv shows i've downloaded. but with this its simply impossible. and i'm going nuts.

and my ears hurt from trying to turn it up too loud. and this sucks. i even tried looking up the script, but its too different and its not really feasible to keep going back and forth. if this was a dvd, i'd turn on the subtitles. then i would return the freakin thing for being defective.

bah. HATE.

ETA: downloading a codec i KNOW i've downloaded before and playing it with my divx player seems to work, but woe to me if i try to fastforward it, the whole bleeding thing crashes. whatevers. i've seen the first half of the film now, and i mostly heard all the words. so woo. or something.
