7 words about "Blink"
Jun. 9th, 2007 02:28 pmSOOOOO much better than "Love and Monsters"!!!!
I didn't hate it! Eeeee! I knew there was an episode where there would be little Doctor action, and I didn't realize it'd be this one (though of course, with only three eps left it would be), and by the time i DID figure that out, a couple minutes in, i was already interested enough not to care.
The plot was interesting, the monsters, actually kinda unique (nevermind if the living statue thing has been done before, this was a new spin). Compare, if you will, how little we knew about Sally Sparrow and how MUCH we knew about Elton. Who do you think will have more fic written about them??? hee. no, point is, she was interesting even though we knew next to nothing about her (and i didn't hate Elton, btw, he was fun, even if the story he was in was lame). We knew she was sad and liked to take pictures, and that she captivated the people around her. And that was enough for me. I literally just finished watching and i may be taking it too far to say she was a bit...Doctorish.
sigh.
Martha working in a shop was funny. Supporting him. Oh, that's going to generate 80 million thousand fics too, I bet.
I don't remember what else, I'm too frazzled. Because I watched the trailer for next week. I wasn't going to, but I did. And *omgsqueeflailisded* How much can I not wait. My mind is already racing, I don't want to know anything, but I'm dying to know how they end up where they end up when they presumably first see each other, if as, i thought it was going to pick up right where Torchwood ended? No, I don't wanna know. I may have to stay away from the interwebs till this time next week. omgomgomg. eeek.
Ok, enough with the flailing. Oh, the angels were creepy. I liked how they went from pretty to sinister. One flaw, besides not being enough Doctor in the ep? That statue montage at the end. Kinda lame.
Oh, apparently you don't have to be Torchwood to have naked people awkwardness. That's still funny. :)
Also, I'm kinda glad they focused on the nonlinearity of time for a change. Timeywimey!!!! that was rad.
No really, I'm not good at actual thoughts right now. More later.
