ok, so i'm pissed this was in the pre-telecast and not in the actual one, but congrats to Nickel Creek anyway, who won a grammy tonight for best contemporary folk album (they shoulda won for their first, tho which is better)
Yeah, I totally thought of you when I saw that in the "awards previously handed out and not televised" portion of the show. It's always like that. I fucking hate awards shows.
i didn't even get to see that part...i was watching most of the time, but i guess i missed it. i turned it off about 3 hours in, before the whole clash tribute thing, which i kinda wanted to see, but was so disgusted by the whole proceedings (i rather hate that nora jones song).
p.s. you can't tell from that photo how cute Sara is (that's why i wish it was televised). i have a big crush on her. nor can you tell how short sean is. :)
Oh, it wasn't one whole part or anything...they show the untelevised/handed out earlier awards before they go to commercials. There are a LOT of them. Even the award Kylie was up for wasn't given out on tv. (rolls eyes)
Honestly, I despise the Grammys. They're a joke to me (like the Ocscars). I was happy Norah won (esp. considering who she was up against) but it's just so silly when one person sweeps the whole show. Why bother?
The performances were HORRID...the Clash thing was decent but I hated so many of the other people who played! Ugh. Mediocrity, yay!
