ponies ponies ponies
Jul. 21st, 2003 09:46 amthese little ponies yesterday were the best thing ever. we got to see a six week old one that didn't even come up to my knees. but it was sad cuz they took it away from its mama who was running around neying like crazy. but then they had a nice reunion. anyway, i took almost a whole role of film, and we were only there like 45 minutes or so.
then we had pea soup. we only wandered around Solvang briefly cuz it was SO extremely hot, and we were really only looking for polaroid film. we left the pea soup place at around 3 and didn't get home till after 6 because it took us about an hour and a half to get thru Santa Barbara for NO particular reason. no accident, nothing...just bumber to bumber for some 20 miles, less even. everyone was tired and grumpy after that, but we decided to continue the fun anyway with a nighttime picnic on the beach. which was extremely pleasant. it was not cold, and not super windy. it was just nice. it was a clear night too, and it was fun trying to pick stuff out on the coastline. we were at Topanga beach where you can pretty much see the entire la county coastline and beyond (except for what's north). it curves around and you can see well south of LAX. we stayed well past ticketing time (10pm) but no one much cared, and thankfully no tickets were to be had. I think maybe Amber, my ride was a tad to tipsy to drive the canyon home, but we managed (i know, awful). i lit her cigarettes for her cuz i didn't want her further distracted. But we followed after our friends car, so it was all good. we made it back to her house alive, tho we both were nearly dying of the urge to pee, since we couldn't bring ourselves to use the bushes like the other three peeps.
when i got home, i had 20 emails....after only one day. i had 12 when i woke up this morning...god what's it gonna be like on my trip? which is, btw, in 2 days. eeep!
