Mar. 21st, 2003 04:34 pmso i was supposed to use today to do reasearch for my paper on "king horn" a middle english romantic poem. when i say poem i do mean an untranslated middle english text of 1542 lines. i have several topic to choose from to write a paper on, but i think i settled on why this poem is geared to a 'baronial audience' which i'm not even sure it was. THE text that argues this point is of course checked out of the library and impossible, for some reason to find online.
but my point is, i only did about a half hours worth of researching. i was watching th news most of the day, broke for a nap, broke for roswell. now i've got farscape in like 20 mins, and no WAY i'm giving that up. it's the series finale. then i know i won't feel like researching after that, but i guess i should. we'll see. it's due by wednesday. sure, i can crank out 4000 words by then....oh lord.
i'm glad i have this journal, as i feel like its the only place i can really say me piece. i'm sorry if i comments on anyone else's entries offend. i'm really trying to stay um...objective.
anyhoo. i have to pee. and prepare for farscape...

they said no cliffhanger. that it would be finished. they fucking lied. i don't know if its a good thing, or a bad thing. but i'm leaning towards very bad....
they could have cut the last few seconds and given it an ending. a good one. a happy one. now the 'cliffhanger' was the two main characters dying. if the series ends here (all signs say it will) then that was a RETARDED ending. the ONLY reason to include the last few seconds (complete with a "to be continued" might i add) is if the series will go on. so. that's why i'm pissed. it's hard to explain if you don't watch the show. but its like "ok its all resolved" and then it's "no wait they're dead" and not even a good climactic saving the world tearjerking deat. a retarded death. not good not good not good.
but the folks at savefarscape.com did managae to scrounge up enough funds to get a commercial on during the airing. maybe that will generate enough support. and judging by how hard it is to access the site right now, it's getting A LOT of hits. so maybe that's good news. we can only hope.
