freakin out, par usual

the toad show is TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! woooo! I'm so doing an inner happy dance. i can't possibly convey how amazing it's gonna be. someone sent out a setlist spoiler that was posted on a lapdog (band with two members of toad in it that aren't glen) message board. i didn't know how credible it was, but in any case, i didn't look at it. there was even spoiler space in the email, it was funny. i want to be surprised. i can't wait.

what else am i freaking out about? oh just the mountain of crap i gotta do for school. i still have to finish my play, make up a poetry reading review, write 9 2-page journal entries about authors for lit class, and write/revise/polish 10 poems. all that by like tuesday.

last night was shot cuz my brother was acting up and i had to leave. i drove from my end of the valley (at the southernn foothills, up the straight road my house is off of up to the northern edge of the valley where the street ends. then i turned and went back past my house to the park at the southern of the street, which is like 3 miles south of my house. i saw pretty nighttime views from each end. it's 12.3 miles from north to south, btw, through the middle of the san fernando valley, btw...tho i guess technically there are a few streets that meander further north.

tonight i'm in school till 7 and that means i get home very tired, but i can try to do some work...tho i've begun to watch Taken, the 10 part miniseries on sci-fi, which is prolly a big mistake.

tomorrow is the show...no work done tomorrow.

thursday, just work till five. i might be able to revise some stuff or work on the play.

friday is friday which means going out and staying out late, and its not like i have a choice. my friends are performing at our coffee shop for the last time ever, cuz the shop is cancelling live music. so i HAVE to go.

that leaves saturday and sunday and perhaps monday night to get my done. but Noah comes over on sundays and stays till 1 or 2pm usually, so there goes that time. i might have to be anti-social tho.

OH and did i mention, my teacher for my women in the jewish experience class is giving us a takehome final. which normally would be great, but with all this other crap??? yeah , sure i'll have time. i'd much rather just show up and have a test. grrr.

see. freaking out. i am in TROUBLE. eek.

like 11 hours till i see toad again

i'm excited. and tired. i managed a few more lines of my play. its up to 7 pages. technically i only need 3 more. and three pages of doubled spaced play isn't much, i just need to get one good conversation going. but i feel like i've already put in too much filler, so i actually want it longer than 10 pages.

oh sigh...so much to do. i wanted to paint my nails glow in the dark and write "yay for toad" on them (its 10 letters) but i don't have time now... i want to get an oil change before i schlep to santa barbara tomorrow, as i'm already a few hundred miles overdue...but then, i will need a nap. poo.

i made copies of one of my glen live shows to give to whoever wants it at the show tomorrow...THAT'S what i spend my time on...i'm checking one now for quality...and Shorn has just come on. This was even a show that i wasn't at...god this song is great. i miss glen. it's been like what, a month and a half? i think the last show was oct 24th or something. but it feels soooo long ago. i'm really possessive of my Largo shows, i hope that this Toad reunion doesn't end them for good. Though of course, i am so stoked about the band hooking up again. i better be fore six shows, right? and putting up with counting crows for four of them.

ok, enough rambling. i best go to bed. i have the longest day like ever tomorrow, not to mention like 200 miles of driving some of which will be early morning and some in the middle of the night. but yo. toad tomorrow!!!!
