dilemmas...
Jan. 29th, 2003 09:21 ami have several.
one is that i have a Toad show next week on wednesday...and now i have a class that conflicts with it, tho i didn't plan on having a wednesday night class. So now, after i essentially begged the teacher to let me in the class (it's an advanced narrative writing class, but undergraduate. if i do extra work it can count as a graduate class...but the thing is, i've never EVER had a narrative writing class), i will have to tell her, on the first day of class that i won't be there the following week. And neither will my friend Amber who is in the class. We had planned a conspiracy, saying we carpool, were in an accident or something...but she's had the prof before and is opting for honesty, which screws me a little. i guess i'll try the honest route too (ommitting that it's a concert i need to go to)...but this teacher scares me...she made sour faces at me. also she is hard. i guess i'll play it by ear when i get to class tonight.
dilemma number two: Both Roswell and Angel are on when i am out of the house. (this will be the scenario the whole semester, too). The way i record things is I set the timer on the vcr, but i just have to leave the tv on the right channel (it's a satelite and runs thru the vcr) and hope no one changes it. So while i can set the timer to record at two different times, i can't change channels. The satelite receiver doesn't have autotune. So there are some options. I can set it (the vcr in my moms room, what i always use) up for roswell (3pm) and hope someone is home by Angel (6pm) to switch the channel. Or I can set it up for Angel and set the other vcr (in the den, the main viewing place, different receivers)for Roswell and hope my brother doesn't come home before 4pm. Neither of those are very dependable. Third option. Record Roswell on my mom's tv and record Angel on mine at 9pm with shitty rabbit ear reception. Watchable, but not pleasurable. And i have a feeling tonights angel is gonna be a goodun and i don't want to miss anything due to poor reception.
