woo. othello anno bib is FINALLY done. printed, the whole nine. its 14 pages (i did the whole 2sided printing deal which was quite the pain in my ass). i have 34 entries. and then went ahead and added 18 more entries without abstracts under "see also"...most were from totally obscure journals, which is good, but some weren't, they were from journals my school had, but not the right year/issue. also i found two more journal articles that were available in my school library that i didn't notice before. so i just didn't include them at all. and hope they'll go unnoticed. i missed one cuz i already had an article with the same last named author (same author, actually [really, how often must one write huge articles on Othello?!?]) and since i saved my citations with just last names, i didn't realize there were two. the other one...well i don't know how i missed it. in any case, for the 73 English entries in the MLA bibliography with Othello as a keyword, i included all but those 2 that were actually about Othello. So i've completed the assignment. if she says i didn't look hard enough to find those in the see also section (online, my school library and the ucla library is hard enough, thank you) then i may have to inflict violence upon her. i don't care if she is a cripple. i kid, i kid. but i will be right pissed off.

now i have to try to make icons for my roswell icon communities. i'm so not having ideas. i have the base for one, and the words for the other, (due to the nature of the challenges) but not both for either. erg.

oh, and happy icon-makers appreciation day. you all rock. and make me look bad. thanks. ;)

Yay for Othello being done! What a pain in the ass.

I was wondering what you were thinking of with the Roswell icons... I'm not sure what I'd do myself! Oh, and I'm sorry you didn't get more votes with that last one. I felt bad voting for you twice (even though I wish I had voted for you the last time--I really liked that icon).

i didn't get ANY votes. :( i figured i'd get some on the bases of the images alone. poo. i understand why you didn't vote for me. other icons were better, you gotta go with the best, its in the rules. ;) but then, i thought mine was maybe second best in the category, so i was a little sad not to get any votes.

i have NO clue what to do for roswell_chorus. i think i'll wait till the last minute for that one and submit in the category with the least nominees. is that manipulating the system?

i'm working on the ros_challenge one now. are you in that one? one of the pictures offered was one that by sheer coincidence i was already working on. the same exact frame. that was weird. but i'm out of ideas, so i'm working on another image.

Oh no! I thought you had gotten some votes but someone listed the categories out of order. Well that's just stupid. :( I thought yours was AT LEAST second best if not the best. People are weird!

I didn't know there was another Roswell icon contest place. That's kind of weird--why do we need two? I'll check it out but I probably won't join... I'm at community overload status right now. I need to pare my friendslist down or something!

well its a different kind. everyone has the same image to do whatever they want with. and its totally anonymous. you send the icon(s) to the mod via email and they're posted for voting all at once, still anonymous till the votes are in. whats good also is that it doesn't clutter up my community page, with everyone's icons post. there are essentially only 2 posts a week (or so). i dunno, i just joined a couple days ago. its on its third challenge...we'll see how it goes.
