alright, well, there's a big storm coming. i can't believe it didn't rain at ALL yesterday. and i can't believe i can't believe that. they originally said it was gonna come tonight, but it looks like it may just start lightly tonight and the brunt of the storm will come on friday and last till sunday. all i care is that monday is clear for my going to vegas. or at least not pouring. and it looks like that will be the case...that is, there will be some rain on monday but it will be light. i just hope i'm not driving into the storm that's moving out of here...i should check the vegas forecast. hold on. ok, vegas says showers on monday...at least it doesn't say rain or thunderstorms. and barstow, which is halfway between here and vegas says mostly cloudy. SO. it should be...o...k. but things can change so fast. i will drive in the rain, by god. i NEED this vacation. but not in snow. and it can snow over there in devore on the way over there by the 15. well anyway, i just hope its not raining the whole way or pouring at any time, cuz on highways, that freaks me out. and in my poor car, which is pretty suspect too. someone remind me to throw my fullsize spare in the trunk before i leave. and if a tire goes out, hope that its the one that the full size spare maches. i have two sets of tires on my car (that is, the front and rear tires don't match in size). i actually don't know which are which. i think my front tires are the ones that the spare matches. whatevers. actually, just hope that nothing bad happens on my drive, ok? i don't know why i'm freaking out so much. i've looked into flights and busses, even. i found some sort of charter bus that only costs 35 dollars for a round trip, but there pick up places are nowhere convenient and i've never heard of the company either. i wonder if i should check greyhound. but i imagine the bus station in vegas is downtown and i don't know downtown vegas well. or at all.

woah. i checked greyhound. the have a special casino fare that drops you off at a casino (it doesn't say which, says i have to check at the gate when i get to the bus station). but its only 48 bucks (plus four dollar will call fee). if it drops me at any hotel on the north end of the srip a taxi won't be much, or depending where, i could walk. AND there aren't kids allowed on the bus, cuz of the casino thing. this may be a good plan. drawback is i'd need someone to schlep me downtown in the morning. and then pick me up in the evening when i get back. and i know the central station or whatever its called is pretty nasty...

it's an idea anyway. their regular fare is 75 dollars. you'd think it would cost MORE to not travel with children... it will probably be a bunch of olds, i bet. well, i think with the willcall dealio, i can probably wait till the last minute to purchase tickets. so i can see what the weather people say on saturday, or maybe even sunday and still get this rate. i hope. wee.

now, enough procrastinating. i have appcrap to do.
