i got two theory journal entries done today. still not keeping up with my three a day goal, but its a little better. i have 9 left to do, two more that are half done need to be finished. i will be in a bit of a pickle i think. i should try to get my paper done in one day this weekend. and then spend sunday finishing up the journals. we'll see how THAT goes. maybe i'll wake up at 6 and go to the coffee shop and work...i'm prolly too lazy.

so i went to kaiser today for my bianual tests. except my retardo new doctor thought a renal ultrasound was in order, when it's clearly not. the tech didn't know i was missing a kidny (hello, HUGE scar from middle of my belly to my back???) and thought things on my left side looked a little strange. yeah a missing organ or two might like kinda funny. also, the ultrasound HURT. a lot. you wouldn't think it would, but she was pressing down really hard. i've had them before on my legs when they thought i had blood clots after my surgery (i didn't) and i don't remember the guy hurting me so much.

then i went to have blood drawn, and that's always fun. my veins are apparently very deep and hard to find. the first girl who tried was a student from Bryman College (they advertise on daytime tv a lot). she was nice tho. when she stuck me on my right arm and couldn't find a vein she passed me on to another girl cuz she didn't like sticking ppl twice. that girl, who was not a student, tried on my left and couldnt find the vein either. she in turn, passed me to another girl, one i know, she's drawn my blood numerous times. she tried once in the left inner elbow, then begged to take it from my forearm (where my veins are visible). i whined cuz i know it hurts more there, but i let her do it, rather than having her try my other arm again. keeping track? grand total of 3 phlebotamists (sp?) and four separate needle pricks...only one successful at actually drawing blood. one in my right arm, three in my left.

ugh. that was longer than it needed to be, huh. hope i didn't gross anyone out.
i ignored my narrative writing assignment. luckily (or maybe unluckily) my prof just changed the format of the class, so that we're going to give her several assignments at once, not one every week like we have been...so i kinda have more time, even tho i really don't. likely cesar chavez day is gonna be storywriting day.

i talked to a friend of mine who i haven't talked to in like a month and a half. and she's pregnant, and last i'd heard she was having complications. but she said she and the baby are fine (she's five mos along) and she felt it hiccup today. still doesn't know its sex yet. i'm glad to know she's ok. i was feeling really guilty about neglecting her. she's a local friend, but we communicate mostly thru email, and i've just been lazy. anyway, think happy thought about debbie and her baby.

i should try to get to bed earlyish, so i can wake up earlyish and do work...

night peeps.

p.s. tomorrow is a BAD day to miss roswell, seaons 2 finale. if a repeat performance of last weeks taping debacle happens, i might blow some sort of gasket. but at least i've seen it before, unlike the prom ep...
