ok, so i'm not really following the whole mayor scandal here in san diego. (having no tv will do that to a person) but i was vaguely aware that the mayor stepped down on friday. and that there is going to be an election. then i read this today on yahoo. apparently, the interim/acting mayor was convicted today of conspiracy and fraud and whatnot, and has been suspended. so now, we have no mayor. what the hell is with this city?

right now, 7:30 pm. it is 122 degrees in baker, ca. dazamn.

thank god i don't live in death valley, eh? its 112 in vegas, 107 in phoenix. here its about 74.

but there is noxious gas coming from the pool (i think they're resurfacing it) and i seriously can barely breathe. even with the windows clothes. i have a headache, my lungs hurt and i feel like i have to throw up. that's how bad it is. i wish i had somewhere to go...

and they didn't even give us any warning of this. if my whole complex is dead in the morning, i'm gonna have to write a strongly worded letter to the management company.
