omg. i started preparing pumpkin at like...11:00. its now 4:30 and i just put the fucker in the oven. and its the first time i've sat down. yikes. i'm in so much pain. cuz this pumpkin was HUGE. i had to cut it, seed it, scrape out all the guts (this took FOREVER), then bake it. an hour was too short. it ended up in there about 2 hours. and then peeling and pureeing. like a million forevers. ugh. and messsssssy. dang. bad news. the pie making was pretty easy. except that i think it turned out far too liquidy. the recipe only called for two cups of pumpkin. so i have like...20 more cups in the freezer. literally. then i ended up with too much filling for the pie so i improvised these mini tart things, but i didn't have crust for them, and we didn't have graham crackers so i took animal crackers (actually they were numbers and letters) and crumbled them with some margarine and set that in the bottoms of the muffin spots in the muffin pan. but when i put the filling in, they cookie pieces floated. i'll let you know how that turns out. they may be done by now. about twenty more minutes on the pie. argggggggh.
