the air is yellow

because of the fires. even tho they are all at least 50 miles away. it's very surreal. living in LA, our air always has color and taste, but this is ridiculous. it's like the whole world has jaundice. its a strange thing, this colored haze. everything looks not quite right. you can smel1 the fire too, which is weird cuz they are so far away. today's a little cooler, so still pretty hot. tomorrow it is supposed to be like 97 in the city. which means like 105 here. and windy too. up to 50 mph, so they say. not good for fires...what happened to winter? did it take a wrong turn somewhere?

for the second day in a row, i'm ignoring the mountain of work i have to do. i'll have to get cracking pretty soon.

but now, naptime. the light is a little similar to rainy day light, which always makes me sleepy. its more like sunrise in the desert kind of light...but yellower. it would almost be calming if it wasn't so grody.
