my poor parents...

are going to san francisco next weekend. they want to stay in Union Square, cuz that's where their friends say to stay. But the few nice hotels are either booked up or a million dollars. They found one three blocks away on Geary St. for a decent price (which of course still means 100+ a night) that looks nice inside. But cuz its downtown S.F. it looks all ghetto on the outside, which of course, it is. My mom is all freaking out "it looks like a welfare hotel!"...i'm like..."uh, mom...that's what san francisco looks like"...i have no idea why they want to stay downtown...

so they'll have an adventure...i expect them to run screaming. hehe. they've invited me to come with, but that would involve a. going to a quilting show in Santa Clara with my mother, and b. going to san francisco

(which i only do to see shows and/or friends)
