Last night, there were surprise fireworks we could see from my friend's place. For some reason, this picture, which looks nothing indeed like fireworks, is strangely compelling to me.

The weather today has been decidedly... tropical. Very humid, grey most of the day. But you know what comes with that? Blood red sunsets. These pictures don't do justice to the color, which was about as red as a traffic light's red.
