meteor shower

go see it. tonight.

i am dumb and didn't go out last night to see them when my friends and i were hanging out, trying to figure out what to do, because i totally, totally forgot. usually, this is a huge point in my summer, trying to figure how and when and where to go see the meteor shower. but it just slipped my mind.

and anyway, the best time to watch them is tonight. 11pm PST, apparently. And, new moon tonight. So anywhere generally dark would be good.

but it is sunday, and everyone else has lives, so probably no one would want to go out to bfe where we go see stars. it's like a two hour drive, all told. but it is SO worth it. just to see stars, if not shooting ones.

i go up to the top of Mt. Piños, which is above Frazier Park. Frazier Park is about 45 minutes up the 5 frome here. Past Valencia, Castaic, etc. Then it's another 30-45 minutes to drive up the mountain.

oh yeah, i know Frazier Park... i have some friends that live there. makes sense to go out there away from the city.
