Well, I for one think the news out of the BBC today is good news.
Yes, it means less Doctor Who in 2009, which is definitely woe inducing. But also means the production team rearranged everything to accommodate David Tennant. Which actually does give me hope for Series 5. At the very least, it means no regeneration in S4.
People are already speculating that the three 2009 specials will be the transition to the Eleventh Doctor. And I dunno, I suppose that could be. I didn't really expect DT to hang out much past S4 anyway. But at least now I'm not completely without hope.
And even if that does happen? We've still got a good long while with Ten. All of next series, the Christmas 08 special and the three 09 specials. that's...at least like 18 episodes, yeah? Strange to think of it that way...less than one standard season of an American show. Spread out over over TWO years. *cries*
Anyway. It's a bit of a sigh of relief knowing it's not all gonna end next summer with the end of S4.
