self taught guitar lessons of the evening...

reading tablature (this was a relearning, i did once know this)
the F major chord
hammer ons


all required to play one of my most favoritest songs ever, "We Both Go Down Together" by the Decemberists. I've almost got the whole song, cuz really all i need was to get that F chord. cutting my pinky nail helped (that was my last lef hand long nail holdout). and the hammer on needed for the riff is really week. but that's ok. its supposed to be played by like...i dunno, a cello or something. its hard to do those one note slidey sounds on a guitar.

but i'm pretty proud of myself for even being able to nail an F chord at all. its note quite consitent, but its already a little better than my C. if i master it, i may move on to attempting something in the B family. not sure tho.
